8 Tips For Web Search Engine Optimization
SEO is not one thing, but a combination of many things. Here are 8 good tips and ideas to keep in mind that will help with your website search engine optimization:
- Do a little research on what keywords people use that relate to your product or services, then incorporate the words naturally into your post.
- Use good meta tags. People will say that meta tags are not that important. They certainly are not the only thing taken into consideration but everything counts. Every page should have different keywords in the Title and the description meta tag.
- Put your important keywords at the top of the page as text and also in the title and subtitles.
- Keep It Simple! Many websites use too many bells and whistles. This usually ends up meaning lower rankings and less traffic.
- When finished with a page, run a spell-checking program.
- Once a website is indexed, go back and improve pages that didn’t get high rankings on key words.
- Every 3 months you should make changes on each web page. Search engines like to see that changes are being made to a site and that it just isn’t sitting there for years with no upgrades.
- Keep adding content. Every page is like real estate that will have value, so create a system of consistently adding more content to your site.

Great advice! Another good reason to include the meta title and description is that those are what show up on Google when your site is in the results page. Without those, Google will often pull a random few sentences as the description of the post which doesn’t always make sense, or they will have just your site name as the title instead of the keyword-laden title you choose.
Great advice! This stuff works!
