Article Marketing Strategy Gets Traffic
Another strategy to get visitors to your website is what they call article marketing. Basically, that just means submitting articles to other websites or marketing through the distribution of articles. There are actually two article marketing topics or strategies to discuss here.
- Article Directories
- Niche Article Submissions
Article Marketing Network
The network of article directories on the internet is vast. There are literally hundreds or even thousands of article marketing directories. The purpose of the directory is to give web owners a place to go and find pre-written articles for their website in a multitude of topics and niches. My study on article marketing through the article submission network has found that it is recommended that you submit your articles to sites with a higher home page ranking. Find 8-10 good article directories with a home page rank of 5 or above and then submit to them regularly on an ongoing basis. The articles should not be ones that you have posted previously on another website but they do not need to be totally unique for each directory. From what I have read, it is OK to write one unique article then re-work it a bit for each directory. Change you titles, subtitle and keywords within the paragraphs. For example. An article about party plan training may be switched up and turned into an article about home business education, direct sales seminars and network marketing team building then submitted to all a variety of sites.
Article Submission Directory Builds Links
When you submit your article to the directory you will be able to build links into you site through the signature line that follows the article. The article services prefer articles that are over 500 words and provide value to the reader. Be sure to pick the right category for the submission so that it is found by those searching for your topic and also so it is not rejected. You can build links back to your website in the signature line and sometimes the body using words that are specific to your niche. The submission of articles into directories serves two purposes:
- Bring traffic to your site from people interested in your niche
- Build links into you site on the key words that you choose.
Article Submission Sites
These are the article submission sites that I use and have a good PR ranking. They are all general directories with almost every category of articles imaginable:

Article Marketing At Niche Websites = More Traffic
Article marketing is most successful from a traffic point of view by submitting posts or articles to individual sites in your niche. The ideal website traffic are those visitors who come from a website that in your field and has similar content and readership to your site. Most likely more traffic will come from these types of sites and it will be better quality traffic. Targeted traffic will come from sites within your niche that you find and become a contributor to. The articles that you post on these sites must be totally unique. In the above sample article that I discussed about party plan training tips, a good niche market website to post it in would be frequented by home business owners or entrepreneurs. Spend some time developing relationships with other website owners or bloggers and become a contributor on their websites. Many sites are looking for regular contributors, one time submissions or maybe an article trade. The time spent building relationships with other webmasters within your niche will pay off when you submit unique content to them monthly for some good quality web traffic.
